Park Slope Collegiate’s new assistant principal, Mr. Farnum entered Park Slope Collegiate the 16th of October with a great mindset. Mr. Farnum chose this school to work at because he “wanted to grow a relationship with the students.” Farnum heard about PSC through the Restorative Justice program. One of the goals Mr. Farnum wants to pursue during his time here is to make sure every student has an adult at school they can lean on.
Regarding his time at PSC so far, Mr. Farnum said, “It has been the best environment he has ever been in. The diversity, the friendships.”
He loves the fact that even though this school is small, everyone supports everyone, staff and students.
Mr. Farmum works with teenagers because he wants to motivate them to become their best selves. He has so many hopes and dreams that he wants to pursue for the student body. Mr. Farnum also worked in the DOE for 20 years. But before that, he had many other jobs such as a baker and chef.
We learned that Mr. Farnum is an entrepreneur. Outside of work he likes to do all kinds of things such as cooking and baking things. Fun Fact: Mr. Farnum was the one who made those amazing cupcakes during the junior committee bake sale. He even has his own bakery!
Mr. Farnum loves taking care of animals, such as turtles, fishes and birds. He also works on cars, a tradition that has been passed down through generations. At the end of the day Mr. Farnum is a very exciting person who has a lot of hobbies.
Lastly, one thing that you should know is that Mr. Farnum is presenting a food drive for students in need. This will be going on in his office room 461. From November 17th-21st. Our duty as fellow students should be to give back to those we care for.

I agree with who the best guy in the hallway because Mr. Farnum is for the people and is willing to help you with any problems you have. When I walk the halls I always stop by and chat with him about what on my mind.
