The movie, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, was very introspective on American singer Bruce Springsteen and brought you behind the mind of Bruce Springsteen and what inspired him to create his music. A lot of flashbacks brought him back to his childhood and with those flashbacks he was able to create music that he had to have exactly as it was when he created it in his own home. He believed the studio entirely ruined it which created heavy tensions between him.
Although the movie was very quiet, showing Springsteen’s emotions, it had a loud feel to it as every emotion he had was deeply shown. One of the best parts of the movie was the build up in the beginning showing where Springsteen started off. What really changed his perspective and personality was meeting a woman who heavily influenced a lot of the Nebraska album due to the many flashbacks her child caused. This film was a heavy call for Bruce Springsteen’s mental health journey as his active battle within himself.
An amazing perspective given is the different mental sides shown between a working dad trying to support a family vs being a famous rockstar who has many more resources. It showed not anger but empathy towards his father. Jeremy Allan White was phenomenal for this role with the tension he constantly had and also portrayed the quiet ache he was trying to hide throughout the film.
