Video games have impacted a ton of our lives somehow: family nights, friends, or just enjoyment for yourself. Video games are what we get excited about because of the obstacles, the challenges, and winning.
They all have made us happy at one point, and sometimes may even make us furious but we still play it, you know why? Because it’s fun! We forget about the bad and continue with the good side of the games.
We will be talking about the biggest video games being turned into a movie for all fans to enjoy.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie
While working underground to fix a water main, Brooklyn plumbers and brothers Mario and Luigi are transported through a mysterious pipe to a magical new world. But when the siblings are separated, an epic adventure begins. It is very recommended for those who love the Nintendo franchise and anyone interested in exploration of a new world with many emotions. It was released on April 5, 2023 in the USA. I’m sure we all have a connection with Super Mario in one way. For example Mario Party, Mario Kart, or even Super Mario 3D World. The Super Mario Bros Movie has made $1,359,226,275 in the Worldwide Box office. It is currently ranked one of the most ticket sales bought for a film with all countries combined.
Five Nights At Freddy’s
This is a movie about a troubled security guard who begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the late shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through. Before becoming a movie, Five Nights at Freddy’s was a point-and-click horror game created on August 8, 2014, developed by scott cawthon. This movie is one of many peoples favorites for its accuracy to the games, making a bigger perspective on the guards. The movie was released on October 27, 2023. It has currently made $297,242,145 and ranked 14 in the best video game movies. worldwide box office.
I highly recommend this movie to anyone who loves horror, it creates suspense and conveys challenges. I really love the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise so seeing it becoming a movie really excites me, they really did a good job at making new parts just for the movie while keeping the important details of the games shown for better accuracy to the film.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
This is a movie about Sonic, Knuckles and Tails’s race to stop a vengeful superpowered hedgehog called Shadow from activating a devastatingly powerful weapon that could very well destroy Earth while struggling to unite against betrayal and battle their own internal conflicts. It is based off of Sonic adventure 2, created in june 18 2001. However this movie was created December 20, 2024. This movie created $489,615,622 in the worldwide box office and is ranked #3 in the world of best video game movies currently. I really enjoyed this movie because there were many scenes that were so cool, they used the game to create accuracy to the movie for fans to love it. It really made others have nostalgia for the origins of sonic and shadow meeting. The movie balances a family-friendly tone with themes of loss, grief, and revenge.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

Spoilers ahead! Many fans loved the first Mario movie that I provided information about so Nintendo decided to make a bigger sequel with many references to the game it’s based on. The Super Mario Galaxy game was released on November 1, 2007, and is many Nintendo fans’ favorite game. The movie is planned to release on April 3, 2026.
This movie will include many fan favorites that have not been getting any recognition, such as Bowser Jr., Rosalina, and Luma shown in the new trailer! The Super Mario Galaxy movie will contain parts from the games, including the story of how Bowser kidnaps Princess Peach to the center of the universe to create his own
galaxy and rule the universe. Mario, with help from Rosalina and new celestial friends, travels through multiple galaxies to rescue Peach and save the universe along with Yoshi!
Sonic The Hedgehog 4
Sonic 3 gained a lot of popularity and surpassed all of its previous movies by a lot so far. Many people went to see Sonic 3 and were so happy, they didn’t regret it. With this popularity the creator Jeff Fowler, wants more game aspects involved. This means he wants more game references to the actual games the movies are based on for real fans to be even more excited for upcoming films with Sonic and to be hit with nostalgia for them. He responds to the fans, making sure that their favorite game will be accurate in a movie.If you watched Sonic 3 to the end credits you will see that they will have new characters, such as Amy Rose and Metal sonic. That’s all we know so far for Sonic 4, with time travel aspects.
The Legend of Zelda
The Legend of Zelda is an upcoming fantasy adventure film based on the video game series by Nintendo. Many fans already love it with the actors playing Link and Zelda. Benjamin Evan Ainsworth is Link and Bo Bragason as Princess Zelda and many fans are really happy with this decision.
